Medical Disclaimer - Terms of Use

Important Medical and Legal Notice

UniTib publishes general educational information. The website does not provide individual diagnosis, treatment, prescriptions or emergency services, and its content does not replace advice from an appropriately qualified healthcare professional. These terms are a general website policy and not legal advice.

Medical Disclaimer and Terms of Use

These terms apply when you visit, read or otherwise use UniTib.com. Please read them together with the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with these terms, please discontinue your use of the website.

1. Educational Purpose

UniTib is an educational publishing platform covering Unani medicine, Ayurveda, naturopathy, herbal knowledge, nutrition, medicinal plants, traditional health literature and general wellbeing. Articles may discuss historical texts, traditional classifications, customary uses, preparation methods, published research and safety information.

Website content is general information for reading and education. It is not an individual medical consultation and should not be interpreted as a diagnosis, prescription, treatment plan or instruction to begin, stop or change healthcare.

2. Unani, Ayurvedic and Other Traditional Perspectives

Descriptions of Unani and Ayurvedic concepts are presented within their own terminology, principles and historical frameworks. Traditional terms such as temperament, humours, dosha, guna, actions or indications belong to their respective systems and are not presented as interchangeable concepts.

A description of traditional use documents how a substance, food or practice has been understood within a particular tradition. It does not by itself establish that the same approach is suitable for every reader. Personal constitution, age, pregnancy, health conditions, allergies, medicines, dosage, preparation and product quality may materially affect safety.

3. No Professional Relationship

Reading UniTib, using its search tools, submitting a comment or sending an email does not create a doctor-patient, practitioner-client, pharmacist-patient, dietitian-client, legal, fiduciary or other professional relationship with UniTib, its authors or contributors.

General replies to reader questions cannot take account of a person's complete history, examination, laboratory findings, diagnosis, medicines or other clinical circumstances. They must not be treated as personalised healthcare advice.

4. Emergencies and Urgent Symptoms

UniTib does not provide emergency services or monitor messages continuously. For a medical emergency, severe symptoms, poisoning, suspected overdose, serious allergic reaction, self-harm risk or rapidly worsening condition, contact your local emergency service or an appropriate urgent-care provider immediately. Do not wait for a website or email response.

5. Medicines, Herbs, Supplements and Food Safety

Herbs, supplements, foods and traditional preparations can cause adverse effects, allergies, contamination or interactions. Product strength and ingredients may differ between manufacturers and countries. Extra care is appropriate for children, older adults, pregnancy or breastfeeding, planned surgery, chronic illness, liver or kidney conditions, and concurrent use of prescription or non-prescription medicines.

Before using a medicinal herb, supplement or traditional formulation for a personal health concern, consult an appropriately qualified professional who can consider your individual circumstances. Do not delay urgent assessment or discontinue prescribed treatment solely because of information published on UniTib.

6. Accuracy, Sources and Updates

UniTib aims to identify sources, distinguish historical or traditional statements from other forms of information, correct material errors and review health content when practical. Nevertheless, publications, product catalogues, regulations, formulations, research findings and external webpages can change. Typographical errors, incomplete records or outdated links may occasionally remain.

Publication on UniTib is not a promise that information is complete, current or suitable for a particular purpose. Readers should verify information important to personal health, legal rights, purchasing or professional decisions with relevant primary sources and appropriately qualified advisers.

7. Author Qualifications and Scope

is a co-founder and author of UniTib. His disclosed education includes professional credentials in Natural Medicine and Herbalism and Clinical Nutrition from HealthCert Education, together with training in Ayurvedic medicinal plants from Shanti Makaan – Ayurvedic Wellness Centre.

Credentials and areas of study are stated for transparency. Each author or contributor should be understood according to the qualifications expressly disclosed on the relevant profile or article. A biography or educational credential does not transform general website content into individual clinical care.

8. Products, Brands and Availability

References to a medicine, herb, supplement, manufacturer, clinic, practitioner, book, service or trade name are generally included for identification, history, education or commentary. Unless a page clearly states otherwise, inclusion does not mean that UniTib manufactures, sells, prescribes, guarantees, officially represents or endorses the referenced item or organisation.

Packaging, ingredients, instructions, prices, licences and availability may change. Check the current official label, catalogue and applicable local requirements before making a purchase or use decision. Report suspected counterfeit, damaged or incorrectly labelled products to the seller, manufacturer or relevant authority.

9. Advertising, Sponsorships and Affiliate Relationships

UniTib may display third-party advertising, including advertising delivered through services such as Google AdSense. Advertisements help support website operation but do not determine UniTib's editorial conclusions. An advertisement appearing beside an article is not an endorsement of the advertised product, service or claim.

If UniTib publishes sponsored material, receives a product or service of value for coverage, or uses a link that may generate a commission, the material relationship should be disclosed clearly on or near the relevant content. Readers should evaluate commercial claims independently. Cookie and advertising-data practices are explained in the Privacy Policy.

10. External Links and Embedded Content

UniTib may link to or embed content from publishers, libraries, journals, government bodies, manufacturers, social networks, video platforms and other third parties. These links are provided for reference or convenience. Third parties control their own content, availability, security, advertising, cookies and privacy practices.

UniTib is not responsible for changes made to an external page after it is cited. A link does not necessarily indicate agreement with every statement, product or service on the linked website.

11. Copyright and Permitted Use

Unless otherwise identified, original text, compilations, graphics and branding published by UniTib are protected by applicable copyright and intellectual-property laws. Third-party books, quotations, photographs, trademarks, videos and other materials remain the property of their respective owners.

You may link to UniTib pages and may save or print a reasonable copy for personal, non-commercial study. Substantial reproduction, automated republication, sale, redistribution or commercial exploitation requires prior written permission unless permitted by applicable law or by a clearly stated licence. Attribution does not by itself replace the need for permission.

12. Acceptable Use

You must not use UniTib to introduce malicious code, attempt unauthorised access, disrupt website operation, scrape personal information, impersonate another person, violate intellectual-property rights, distribute unlawful material or misrepresent UniTib content as personalised medical advice.

Comments or submissions may be moderated or removed when they contain spam, unlawful material, harassment, dangerous instructions, undisclosed promotion, personal medical data or content unrelated to the discussion. Do not post confidential health, identity or financial information publicly.

13. Website Availability and Changes

UniTib may correct, revise, relocate or remove content and may change website functions or these terms when reasonably necessary. Availability may be interrupted by maintenance, hosting issues, security events or circumstances outside UniTib's control. The review date at the top of this page identifies the latest published revision.

14. Limitation of Responsibility

To the extent permitted by applicable law, UniTib and its authors are not responsible for losses resulting from reliance on general website information, misuse of content, third-party products, external websites, service interruptions or actions taken without appropriate individual advice. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits a right or responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded.

15. Interpretation and Severability

These terms are interpreted subject to applicable law. If a particular provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions should continue to apply to the extent legally possible. A failure to enforce a provision on one occasion is not a waiver of the right to enforce it later.

16. Contact and Corrections

For a factual correction, copyright concern, privacy request, advertising concern or question about these terms, use the Contact UniTib page or email info@unitib.com. Include the relevant page URL and enough detail to identify the issue. Do not send urgent or highly sensitive medical information by ordinary email.
